Christmas Party at Tricky Dickies – Saturday 3rd December 2011

Tricky Dickies didn’t know what had hit it…

Written by: Tristan Barratt

Our Christmas celebrations were held this year at Tricy Dickies near Redruth, who had the heating on for us and everything!

A lovely three course meal was enjoyed by all members who attended. During/after the meal the DJ cranked his banging tunes up to volume level 11 and the fancy dress dancers came out to entertain all who’d gathered round. Tris and Tony seemed engaged in a battle with various party sundries and Tris was henceforth crowned as the “Balloonatic”.

Season Finale Run – Sunday 25th September 2011

Bird in Hand Hayle to Porthcurno

Written by: Tristan Barratt

Our final run of the season was organised by Carl.

We’d been planning this route for a while, a run from Hayle down to Penzance and down the main A30 towards Lands End, veering left and then cutting through the back waters of St Buryan to Porthcurno. we parked up in the car park beneath the Telegraph Museum and enjoyed a lovely packed lunch in the lovely autumnal sunshine, giving all members a chance to catch up on recent events. 2011 had admittedly been a quieter year than usual overall for the club, so it was great to catch up before the cars all came off the roads for winter!
